Early Life and Career

Aleksander Aleksandrovich Sasha Barkov, born on September 2, 1995, is a Finnish ice hockey player. Despite being born in Russia, Barkov represents Finland at the international level.

Breakout Season and Recognition

Barkov made his NHL debut in 2013 with the Florida Panthers. He quickly became a key player for the team, leading them to their first playoff appearance in 15 years in 2016. In the 2021-22 season, Barkov had a breakout performance, finishing with 39 goals and 49 assists, earning him the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct.
